Keenan Campaign Response to Mark Lamb Cease & Desist

Gilbert, AZ — In response to a notice to cease and desist that the Keenan
campaign received from Mark Lamb’s attorneys, Keenan Campaign Manager
Joseph Raetzer made the following statement:

The record is clear: Mark Lamb committed perjury when he filed a sworn
statement with the state government claiming he had not filed for bankruptcy,
even though he had. This was documented in the Eloy Enterprise on December
23, 2024. The sworn document Lamb filed with the state and his history of filing
for bankruptcy are both public records.

Mark Lamb’s lawyers do not dispute the underlying public records: Lamb filed
bankruptcy in Utah, and later signed a sworn disclosure form contradicting this
fact.  Their argument is that because he wasn’t charged and convicted of perjury,
we are somehow liable for defaming, which is such a bizarre argument that we
have to ask if Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson is on his legal team.

The real question isn’t whether Lamb committed perjury, a class 4 felony:
that’s a big “yes.” The real question is: why wasn’t he charged and prosecuted?
What relationships and leverage did he have with the powers that be in Arizona
that let him escape a felony conviction that would have ensnared other criminals?

The other big question is whether or not this is what disqualified him from a
position in the Trump administration given that it would have inevitably come up
at any Senate hearing. 

We invite Mark Lamb to come clean and explain why he didn’t get sent to prison
despite committing such an obvious crime, but we’ve heard he’s too busy putting
down roots in Tennessee, where he’s building his new home.
